Our properties in Horning are surrounded by water and situated within a lovely private marine basin with direct access to the River Bure.

Although not available as a permanent mooring, Ludham Quay has its own private mooring dock right outside the back door.

Surrounded by a private and sheltered patio, the dock is suitable for craft upto 8.5ft in beam and 23ft in length.

For visitors renting our larger waterside property there is ample space to moor a day boat or launch canoes / store fishing gear or even sailing dinghies or just enjoy the view.

Should you wish to bring your own boat, please contact us in advance and we can recommned launching sites, and give further details on licencing, tolls and other useful information.

The moorings are situated in one of the most desirable marinas on the Norfolk Broads. The sheltered private mooring basin within the main marina provides a safe and secure location for your pride and joy.

The moorings have direct access to the River Bure and to the wider Norfolk Broads network.

For visitors renting our waterside properties there is now ample space to moor a day boat. Day boats are available from a number of boatyards in the village. We recommend:

Ferry Marina - One of the best hire fleets on the Broads, their fleet is always exceptionally turned out and they have a range of boats to suit most budgets and requirements.

All the day cruisers in their fleet have a galley, WC and cabin. Many of the boats have been built on-site by the craftsmen at their boatyard

Our moorings surround the house and have space for a small day boat exclusively for our guests using Waterside Lodge.
